This April (2016), we were finally able to open The Granary to guests.
The top floor lounge is furnished with sofas and coffee tables for relaxing after a day out exploring. So far this year, the view from the top (which looks towards Holy Island in one direction and Bamburgh in the other) has transitioned through almost every season with very changeable and unseasonable conditions, including snow in April! However, this is part of the appeal – our coastal landscape changes every hour as the tide creeps in and then retreats, and with every season and turn of the weather the rural landscape is different.
The Granary also contains two new bedrooms, Eider and Kittiwake, taking our total number of bedrooms to seven and breakfast will now be served in the Granary building, instead of the farmhouse.
The Granary is intended to benefit all of our Bed & Breakfast guests, whatever your reason for staying and whatever the size and nature of your party. It’s also a very versatile space which broadens the ways in which Fenham might be used as a venue. In particular, groups, special occasions and activity breaks will find plenty of space here, including the large multi-purpose ‘Tin Room’ which can be used for any kind of gathering including workshops, meetings, or social events, in packages which also include exclusive use of B&B accommodation.
