To the lover of the outdoors - Welcome to paradise!
Both walkers and cyclists are truly spoilt for choice with mile upon mile of well-marked routes including St Cuthberts Way and Sustrans National Route 1 : Coast and Castles cycle route running literally right past the door!
We have a secure lock-up and workshop available for cyclists as well as drying facilities for waterproofs and boots.
Inland are the beautiful Cheviot Hills where you can truly lose yourself – and often have more chance of bumping into a wild goat than another human being! Not for nothing is Northumberland often referred to as England’s last wilderness. Take a look at the Northumberland National Park website for further information.
See another world by diving beneath the waves and exploring the region’s fascinating sub aqua world. There are diving boats and groups available from Seahouses and St Abb’s Head both of which offer what many consider to be the best dive sites in the UK.
Other activities include golf – with many courses including those at nearby Goswick, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Dunstanburgh to name but a few!
For game anglers, Fenham Farm offers a great location within close proximity to some of the country’s finest salmon rivers – the Tweed and the River Coquet, and our drying room means no more cold, wet waders to dampen your spirits as you head for a day on the river.
For the less energetic, simply enjoy the scenery and fill your days with the sights and sounds of the beautiful coastline and unmissable destinations and events such as the Alnwick Garden and the Art Tour as well as a multitude of fantastic festivals and fairs which take place throughout the year.
